세부 UBEC어학원에서 진행하는 커리큘럼에 대한 안내입니다

각 레벨별 교재와 목적안내입니다

 

UBEC 커리큘럼은 총 4개의 레벨로 나누어지며, 다시 7단계로 세부화 되어 진다. 아래의 표는 각 레벨 별 수업내용과 교과서 이름, 그리고 각 수업이 집중해서 가르치는 부분을 소개 하고 있다.

Level Class Type Used Book Focus Contents Basic ESL 101 1 to 1 Class Small Talk; Basic English Talks Conversation Interview style of teaching for survival English conversations with introduction on basic life skills, proper pronunciation, vocabulary and ｅxpressions, and reading skills.  Also, emphasizes basic grammar and applying it to writing giving the essentials of writing styles and techniques 1 to 1 Class Side by Side 1 & 2 Grammar & Writing 1 to 8 Class Conversation Vocabulary & Pronunciation ESL 102 1 to 1 Class Small Talk; Basic English Talks Conversation Basically the same focus with the Low Beginner but activities, lessons, and styles and techniques are deliberately organized to suit the level. 1 to 1 Class Side by Side 1 & 2 Grammar & Writing 1 to 8 Class Conversation Vocabulary & Pronunciation Beginner ESL 103 1 to 1 Class Know How 2.1 & 2.2 Conversation Emphasizes everyday speaking/listening activities, writing diaries and journals, introducing accent and intonation and the real native ｅxpressions, and introduction to beginning grammatical structures. Still uses the interview type in a higher level of conversation 1 to 1 Class Interchange I; Essential Grammar in Use 1.1; Get Ready to Write Grammar Writing 1 to 8 Class Conversation Vocabulary & Pronunciation ESL 104 1 to 1 Class Impact Issues 1.1 & 1.2   The same focus with low elementary but more intensive. Classes and activities are carefully prepared for students’ preparation for the higher level. The interview types of class’ activities are student-centered. 1 to 1 Class Interchange II; Essential Grammar in Use 1.2; Get Ready to Write; Express Yourself 1.1 Grammar Writing 1 to 8 Class Lecture & Presentation Listening & Writing Intermediate ESL 105 1 to 1 Class Say Out Loud 1; Jazz English Pronunciation Emphasizes speaking/listening, vocabulary building, reading improvement, and intermediate grammatical structures as well as accent reduction. Practicing the real native ｅxpression or acquiring the real native equivalent ｅxpression basing from the first language acquisition. 1 to 1 Class Interchange III Express Yourself 1.2 Grammar & Writing 1 to 8 Class Lecture & Presentation Listening & Writing ESL 106 1 to 1 Class React Interact; A-Z Discussions 2 Conversation Intensive interaction from the learner is prioritized. A large extent of presentations and class activities are prepared for students for much exposure in using the language. The practice of real native ｅxpression is more intensive too. 1 to 1 Class Interchange IV; Express Yourself 2.1; Great Essays Grammar Writing 1 to 8 Class Lecture & Presentation Listening & Writing Advance ESL 107 1 to 1 Class What Do You Think Conversation Emphasizes advanced vocabulary building, vocabulary for academic purposes, reading and native-way of speaking. 1 to 1 Class Interchange V; Express Yourself 2.2; Paragraphs and Essays Grammar Writing 1 to 8 Class Lecture & Presentation Listening & Writing
