Grammar- T. Ylona

Jack’s level in grammar is beginner advance which is level 101A. His skill in grammar needs to focus on tenses of the verb especially simple tenses because he is still having difficulty using the auxiliary verbs do, does and did. Aside from this, the use of an appropriate verb must be taught to him. His exercises also showed some errors mostly in using auxiliary verbs. Seldom can he construct a complete sentence because many English words are not familiar to him, so he needs to pay attention in improving his vocabulary.

The result of the progress test last July 29, 2011 was a proof of improvement. Though he is a junior student, he managed to take the adult’s test and was able to attain a 201 level.

Henceforth, he needs to improve his attitude towards studying. Since he has this great potential to improve, he must endeavor and strive harder to achieve a higher level.

Reading –T. Sai

Jack is very lively in the class. He always participates and makes sure he understands what he has just read. Although there was a problem in his speaking ability, he tried to compensate with it by putting his words to actions. He can summarize the story but with the help of his teacher. He is sometimes playful and needs to be monitored because aside from being playful he also has a short attention span.

Speaking- T. Leon, T. Marty, T. Jay and T. Bob

He is a very enthusiastic kid. He knows how to mingle with his classmates and cooperate in the activities. He tries to participate more during the discussions and does his homework on time. He asks questions if necessary and accepts suggestions and recommendations for his improvement. He needs to improve his vocabulary words and learn more on constructing sentences.

Attendance (Indicate general comments):

Never has he been absent nor late in all of his classes.

Homework (Indicate general comments):

He always does his homework and passes it on time.

Buddy Teacher’s Comments (Specific recommendations and/or suggestions for improvement):

His attitude towards studying is undeniably childish. He loves spending his time playing and studying at the same time. That attitude must be reduced by focusing more on studying rather than playing though it is not forbidden to give him 5 minutes of play as his break since he has a short attention span like other junior students have. Giving him much homework will make him more focus on his studies. As his buddy teacher, I will instruct his teachers to give him at least 20 words this includes 5 nouns, 5 adverbs, 5 verbs and 5 adjectives to be remembered and used in a sentence for 1 week. This will improve his vocabulary skill.
